In a lonely abandoned gas station, three lives are about to collide...
The challenge in this Jessie nominated set design was to create a voyeuristic prison for the three characters. Director Kevin Bennett was very clear, the audiences vision of the actors shouldn't be compromised, but at the same time we must create a complete world for the characters. The set needed to feel real: cooking, eating, sleeping, laundry, bathing all took place in full view of the audience.
All this in the tiny Havana Theatre located in the back of a restaurant.
